About
My Journey to So dewy
I am 10 years old, and I never thought I would already be starting my own business. It all began with the things I loved the most—being creative, making cute things, and skincare . I've always enjoyed things like drawing, decorating, and hanging with my besties. I also love beauty, like lip gloss, hair accessories, and anything that makes me feel confident and happy.
At first, my ideas were just for fun. I would make mini rooms out of things like tissue boxes and think of cute themes. I also liked imagining my own brands and products, even if they weren’t real yet. But over time, I started to realise that my ideas could actually turn into something bigger.
One day, I had the idea to create mini self-care bags. I thought about how nice it feels to have small cute things like lip gloss, scrunchies, and moisturiser all together in one place. I wanted to create something that would make people feel happy, calm, and a little bit special. That’s when my idea started to feel like a real business.
Next, I began thinking about what I would call my brand. I wanted something simple, cute, and beauty-related. After trying different ideas, I chose the name “So Dewy.” I loved it because it sounded fresh, glowy, and soft and had my initials SO—exactly how I wanted my brand to feel.
After that, I started designing my logo and thinking about colours. I chose pink, yellow, and blue because they feel bright, happy, and gentle at the same time. I imagined sparkles, soft fonts, and a little water droplet to match the “dewy” theme.
Even though I am still young, I’ve learned that starting a business isn’t just about selling things. It’s about being creative, trying new ideas, and believing in yourself. I also know it’s important to stay safe and ask for help from adults when needed.
This is just the beginning of my journey. I’m excited to keep growing my idea, making new products, and seeing where “So Dewy” can go in the future. I hope that one day, my small idea can turn into something big that makes lots of people smile.
No matter what happens, I’m proud that I started.
